Our Story

In the year 2005, the eldest of the Caro Guarnieri brothers acquired a beautiful property in Guasca and decided to name it "Doña Rosita" in honor of their mother, a woman who had always cherished her connection to the region and the importance of making it a productive and fertile land. Over the following years, the estate was primarily dedicated to dairy production, following a deeply rooted family tradition.

However, the three brothers decided to join forces and undertake an ambitious project. With the desire to honor their mother's legacy, Rosita Guarnieri, they devised a plan to diversify production and cultivate blueberries on the estate.

Thus, in 2017, the Morao Arándanos project was born with a firm determination to transform the land into a thriving blueberry cultivation. They researched the best farming practices, invested in necessary infrastructure, and devoted tireless hours to work in the fields.

As the project grew, Morao Arándanos became a benchmark in the region, attracting the attention of both national and international buyers. The Doña Rosita estate became a symbol of success and dedication, not only for the brothers but also in memory of their beloved mother.

The story of Morao Arándanos is a testament to the power of family and passion for responsible agriculture. Through the vision and effort of three brothers, and with the unconditional support of their families, it has become a remarkable enterprise leaving an indelible mark on the community and the blueberry market in Colombia.

Behind every juicy and delicious blueberry that reaches your table is a committed team working tirelessly day after day. From field workers who harvest each fruit with love to agronomists who meticulously care for every plant, each stage of the process is imbued with professionalism and care.

Social Impact

Before starting the blueberry cultivation, our agricultural project included a dairy farming operation that provided formal employment to three people. Since starting our blueberry cultivation, we have experienced significant growth in our team, providing formal employment to over 50 people from the region, with a notable 90% of them being women. Additionally, we have created inclusive job opportunities by employing workers with varying degrees of disabilities. This expansion has not only generated job stability for our workers but has also enabled them to plan for the long term, access bank loans, and take advantage of government benefits for formal employees, such as housing acquisition. This change has not only benefited our agricultural operation but has also had a very positive impact on the local community.

Impacto social

Antes de emprender el cultivo de arándanos, nuestro proyecto agrícola incluía una operación de ganadería lechera que proporcionaba empleo formal a tres personas. Desde que iniciamos nuestro cultivo de arándanos, hemos experimentado un crecimiento significativo en nuestro equipo, brindando empleo formal a más de 50 personas de la región, con un destacado: 90% de ellas siendo mujeres. Además, hemos creado oportunidades laborales inclusivas al emplear a trabajadores con diferentes grados de discapacidad. Esta expansión no solo ha generado estabilidad laboral para nuestros trabajadores, sino que también les ha permitido planificar a largo plazo, acceder a créditos bancarios y aprovechar las ayudas gubernamentales para empleados formales, como la adquisición de vivienda. Este cambio no solo ha beneficiado a nuestra operación agrícola, sino que también ha tenido un impacto muy positivo en la comunidad local.
